Precautions are easily taken with work equipment that will significantly reduce the risk of injury or illness to the user or others. The course considers the risk associated with using work equipment and what work equipment is covered by PUWER .
This online course would fall into the category of a General Health and Safety Training course that Safety trainers would find useful to train relevant staff and employee who are provided or use Equipment during the course of their employment. The course meets the training and awareness requirements of relevant legislation and regulations including Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The PUWER training awareness certificate has no expiry date because there is no formally recognised period of validity for any health and safety training. The HSE recommends refresher training is carried out whenever it is felt necessary. Safety registration bodies such as CHAS, SafeContractor, ConstructionLine & SMAS and other members of the SSiP scheme recommend most re-training is done every 3 years.
