Trades and Contractors training course for Safeguarding Awareness

Objectives of Safeguarding Awareness for Trades and Contractors

Safeguarding is a term used to denote measures to protect the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, which allow people, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults to live free from abuse, harm and neglect.

This is covered by legislation in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.

There are simple protocols when working on sites where vulnerable groups are present that should be adhered to.

This online course describes these protocols and is suitable for anyone who occasionally works on sites where vulnerable groups are present for example working at a school or at a nursing/care home.

This online course would fall into the category of a General Health and Safety Training course that Safety trainers would find useful to train relevant staff and employees who come into contact with vulnerable groups.

The course covers the requirements of Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, the Disclosure Barring Service and an understanding of appropriate behaviour when working near or around a vulnerable group.

This online course discusses the requirements of legislation such as the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and how the requirements relate to people who may occasionally work on premises such as schools or care homes and where vulnerable groups are present.
