Food poisoning affects millions of people each year in the UK, the seriousness of which cannot be underestimated. Good food hygiene is essential to ensure that we are not harmed in any way from the food and drink we consume.
As a food handler you have a legal obligation to ensure that you do not cause harm to anyone through bad practice, ignorance or neglect.
EU Regulation 852/2004 Hygiene for Foodstuffs requires Food Businesses to make sure that any staff who handle food are supervised, instructed and trained in Food Hygiene in a way that is appropriate to the work they do.
This Commodious online training course and certificate meets these training requirements and fully satisfies other training requirements such as FSA, Sector Skills First, and is Local Authority Accepted Training Proof.
The course is for people involved in storing, handling and preparing food in a supervised role such as commis chefs, waiters, snack bars, sandwich outlets, nurseries, pubs and clubs. Anywhere where food is prepared, stored or handled but the person is supervised by someone who has had level 2 training.
