UK fire and rescue services annually deal with 35,000 fires at work, where some 30 people are killed and over 2,500 are injured. Fire safety awareness training is a legal obligation under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (UK).
This online advanced awareness course is for people working in offices, shops, schools and factories. It is suitable for Fire Marshals, Fire Wardens and Duty holders.
The course is designed to satisfy the training and awareness requirements of relevant legislation and regulations including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. It also meets the requirements of CHAS, SafeContractor, Construction line, Exor and other SSIP registrations plus HSE safety training requirements.
A basic fire safety course is also available in our catalogue.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 replaced most fire safety legislation with one simple order.
Any person who has some level of control in premises must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk from fire and make sure people can safely escape if there is a fire.
Provision of adequate fire safety awareness training for employees is required by the FSO. Therefore training people in fire safety awareness is a key part of meeting the Regulations' requirements.
This online Advanced Fire Safety training course will help organisations meet their legal obligations and provide candidates with a thorough awareness of the dangers associated with fire and the management and control measures required to control the risks. Training people in fire safety awareness is a key part of meeting the regulations.
After completing the course, candidates will:

Successful candidates will receive a RoSPA Assured/CPD Certificate and 2 CPD Credits.
The fire safety training certificate has no expiry date because there is no formally recognised period of validity for any health and safety training. The HSE recommends refresher training is carried out whenever it is felt necessary. Safety registration bodies such as CHAS, SafeContractor, ConstructionLine & SMAS and other members of the SSiP scheme recommend most re-training is done every 3 years.
All of our courses, systems and services have been registered to the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.
