This online Coronavirus Awareness, Covid-19 Risk Assessment and COVID-19 Workplace Preparedness course is designed to give candidates an understanding of the regulations and laws that apply to Coronavirus in the workplace. Have knowledge of and know how to carry out a coronavirus infection control risk assessment also known as a Covid-19 risk assessment. Understand what are the risk factors for infection and how to protect against coronavirus infection and Covid-19 disease.
After completing the course candidates will:
Be aware of the coronavirus work laws and how they apply to coronavirus in the workplace.
Understand the basics of what is coronavirus and the disease COVID-19.
Have a basic knowledge of the questions “how long can coronavirus live on surfaces?” and “how long is coronavirus contagious?”
Have knowledge of “how to kill coronavirus” (de-activate) and how to protect against coronavirus infection.
Be aware of risk factors that apply to coronavirus home working. (COVID-19 working from home)
Be able to carry out a coronavirus risk assessment (technically known as a Covid-19 risk assessment) and how to implement specific coronavirus and Covid-19 risk control measures.
Understand basic PPE and how it applies to coronavirus and Covid-19.
Be aware of useful sources of information and links for further guidance as the situation changes.
The course comprises 4 interactive modules and a final assessment. Links to recommended reading and additional resources may be provided within the training modules. These links are not mandatory and will not be tested for in the final assessment.
It takes approximately 50 minutes to complete the course in full. This can be spread out over multiple sessions or completed in a single session. There is no time limit for completion.
All candidates must complete a multiple choice assessment after working through the training material. The candidate will be asked 12 multiple choice questions, randomly chosen from a larger question pool, and need to answer a minimum of 9 correctly to pass. Candidates will be given instant feedback after completing the assessment stating whether they have passed or failed. The assessment can be re-taken as many times as is required to pass at no additional cost.

Successful candidates will receive a CPD Certificate and 1 CPD Credit.
This course certificate has no expiry date because there is no formally recognised period of validity for any health and safety training or this type of course. The HSE recommends refresher training is carried out whenever it is felt necessary.
We would recommend refreshing knowledge as and when legislation or guidance changes applicable to these regulations.
